Mr. Vivas has been an Independent
Director of the Company since November
2004 and is a member of the Company's
Audit Committee. He is a Certified Public
Accountant and is currently Vice-Chairman
and CEO of the Corporate Governance
Institute of the Philippines (CGIP). He is a
member of Marubeni Foundation's Board
of Trustees and Canadian Chamber of
Commerce's Board of Governors. He is also
an Independent Director and Chairman of
the Audit Committee of Keppel Philippines
Marine, Inc. and Independent Director of
Keppel Philippines Holdings since June
2005 and is currently a member of the Audit
Committee of the Company.
He was Risk Consulting Partner and
Assurance Business Advisory Partner of
SGV & Company until his retirement in
2001. Mr Vivas obtained his Bachelor's
Degree in Business Administration (Cum
Laude) from the University of the East.
He also obtained a Master's Degree in
Business Management from the Asian
Institute of Management (SGV & Co.
Scholar). He is also a graduate of Company
Directors' Course from Australian Institute
of Company Directors (ICD Scholar).
Mr Vivas has accumulated 45 years of
experience in audit, finance, enterprise risk
management and corporate governance.
